2,4-D

Herbicide 2,4-D

Description

2,4-D is a selective systemic herbicide that kills broadleaf weeds but is safe for grasses. The word 'selective' means it can kill certain types of plants (broadleaf weeds) while leaving other plants (grasses) unharmed. The word 'systemic' means that when you spray it on weeds, it gets absorbed into the plant and moves throughout it, killing it from the inside. This makes it very useful for controlling broadleaf weeds in grass crops like wheat, barley, corn, and rice, or in lawns and pastures. When you spray 2,4-D on broadleaf weeds, they will start to curl, twist, and eventually die within a few days to a week. It works especially well on common broadleaf weeds like dandelions, thistles, and many other weeds with wide leaves. However, it's very important to know that 2,4-D will kill or damage any broadleaf crops you have, like tomatoes, peppers, beans, or cotton, so you must never spray it on or near these crops. It's also important to be careful about drift - if the spray drifts onto your broadleaf crops, it can cause serious damage. Always spray when the weather is calm, and be very careful not to let the spray drift to areas where you have broadleaf plants. You can use it on grass crops, lawns, and pastures. Always wait the required number of days (usually 7-14 days) after spraying before harvesting your crops. Always follow the label instructions and wear protective clothing when using this product.
