Clothianidin

Insecticide Clothianidin

Description

Clothianidin is a systemic insecticide that works by affecting the nervous system of insects, causing them to die. The word 'systemic' means that when you spray it on your plants or apply it to the soil, it gets absorbed into the plant and moves throughout it, protecting it from the inside. This makes it very effective because it can reach and protect parts of the plant that you might not be able to spray directly. When you apply clothianidin to your crops, insects that eat the treated plants will be affected and die. It works especially well on many different types of insects including aphids, thrips, whiteflies, beetles, and many other crop pests. One of the advantages of clothianidin is that it can be applied to the soil or as a foliar spray, and it moves throughout the plant to provide protection. It's commonly used on vegetables, fruits, and field crops to control a wide variety of insect pests. Clothianidin is particularly effective against sucking insects like aphids and thrips. However, it's very important to know that clothianidin can be harmful to beneficial insects like bees and other pollinators, so you should avoid spraying it when bees are actively visiting your crops. Also, clothianidin can be harmful to fish and other aquatic life, so you must be very careful not to let it run off into streams, ponds, or irrigation water. You should spray it when insects are actively present and causing damage to your crops. Always wait the required number of days (usually 7-14 days) after spraying before harvesting your crops. Always follow the label instructions and wear protective clothing when using this product.
