Dimethoate

Insecticide Dimethoate

Description

Dimethoate is a systemic organophosphate insecticide that provides excellent control of sucking and chewing insects on your crops. The word 'systemic' means that when you spray it on your plants, it gets absorbed into the leaves and stems and moves throughout the entire plant. This is very effective because it protects the plant from the inside, so even insects that are hiding on the underside of leaves or inside the plant will be affected. It works especially well against aphids, thrips, mites, whiteflies, and leaf miners - these are common pests that can cause serious damage to your vegetables, fruits, and field crops. When insects feed on plants that have been treated with dimethoate, they ingest the insecticide and die. It also has some contact action, meaning it can kill insects that come into direct contact with the spray. You can use it on a wide variety of crops including tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, citrus fruits, and many other vegetables and fruits. The best time to apply it is when you first notice pests on your plants, or as a preventive treatment before pests become a problem. However, it's very important to know that dimethoate is highly toxic to bees and other pollinators, so you must never spray it when your plants are flowering. Also, make sure to wait at least 7 to 14 days after the last application before harvesting your crops to ensure they're safe to eat. Always wear protective clothing and follow all safety instructions when using this product.
