Flonicamid

Insecticide Flonicamid

Description

Flonicamid is a systemic insecticide that works by stopping insects from feeding, which causes them to die from starvation. The word 'systemic' means that when you spray it on your plants, it gets absorbed into the plant and moves throughout it, protecting it from the inside. This makes it very effective because it can reach and protect parts of the plant that you might not be able to spray directly. When you apply flonicamid to your crops, insects that try to feed on the treated plants will stop feeding and eventually die. It works especially well on many different types of sucking insects including aphids, whiteflies, and thrips. One of the advantages of flonicamid is that it is relatively safe for beneficial insects like bees and other pollinators, which makes it a good choice when you need to protect your crops but also want to protect beneficial insects. It's commonly used on vegetables, fruits, and field crops to control a wide variety of sucking insect pests. Flonicamid is particularly effective against aphids and whiteflies. However, it's still important to be careful and follow the label instructions. You should spray it when insects are actively present and causing damage to your crops. Always wait the required number of days (usually 7-14 days) after spraying before harvesting your crops. Always follow the label instructions and wear protective clothing when using this product.
