Haloxyfop

Herbicide Haloxyfop

Description

Haloxyfop is a selective systemic herbicide that kills grass weeds but is safe for broadleaf crops. The word 'selective' means it can kill certain types of plants (grasses) while leaving other plants (broadleaf crops) unharmed. The word 'systemic' means that when you spray it on grass weeds, it gets absorbed into the plant and moves throughout it, killing it from the inside. This makes it very useful for controlling grass weeds in broadleaf crops like cotton, soybeans, vegetables, and fruits. When you spray haloxyfop on grass weeds, they will start to turn yellow and die within a week or two. It works especially well on annual and perennial grasses like foxtail, barnyard grass, and many others. One of the advantages of haloxyfop is that it can be used after your crops have already started growing, which is called post-emergence application. This means you can wait to see what grass weeds come up in your field and then spray them specifically. However, it's very important to know that haloxyfop will kill or damage any grass crops you have, like wheat, barley, corn, or rice, so you must never spray it on or near these crops. It's also important to be careful about drift - if the spray drifts onto your grass crops, it can cause serious damage. Always spray when the weather is calm, and be very careful not to let the spray drift to areas where you have grass plants. You can use it on broadleaf crops when grass weeds are actively growing. Always wait the required number of days (usually 7-14 days) after spraying before harvesting your crops. Always follow the label instructions and wear protective clothing when using this product.
