Procymidone

Fungicide Procymidone

Description

Procymidone is a contact and systemic fungicide that works by stopping fungal diseases from growing and spreading. The word 'contact' means it kills fungi when they come into contact with it on the plant surface. The word 'systemic' means it also gets absorbed into the plant and moves throughout it, protecting it from the inside. When you apply procymidone to your crops, it prevents fungal spores from germinating and stops existing fungal infections from spreading. It works especially well on many different types of fungal diseases including gray mold, leaf spots, blight, and various rot diseases. One of the advantages of procymidone is that it has both preventive and curative properties, which means it can prevent diseases from starting and also help cure diseases that have already begun. It's commonly used on vegetables, fruits, and field crops to control a wide variety of fungal diseases. Procymidone is particularly effective against gray mold and various rot diseases that can affect fruits and vegetables. However, it's very important to know that procymidone works best when applied before you see severe disease symptoms, though it can also help with existing infections. You should spray it every 7-14 days during the growing season when disease pressure is high, or more frequently if you see disease starting. Make sure to spray both the top and bottom of leaves, as diseases often start on the underside. Also, procymidone can be harmful to the environment, especially to water sources, so you must be very careful not to let it run off into streams, ponds, or irrigation water. Always wait the required number of days (usually 7-14 days) after spraying before harvesting your crops. Always follow the label instructions and wear protective clothing when using this product.
