Spirotetramat

Insecticide Spirotetramat

Description

Spirotetramat is a systemic insecticide that works by stopping insects from making the fats they need to survive, which causes them to die. The word 'systemic' means that when you spray it on your plants, it gets absorbed into the plant and moves throughout it, protecting it from the inside. This makes it very effective because it can reach and protect parts of the plant that you might not be able to spray directly. When you apply spirotetramat to your crops, insects that eat the treated plants will be affected and die. It works especially well on many different types of insects including aphids, whiteflies, scales, mealybugs, and many other sucking insects. One of the advantages of spirotetramat is that it has both contact and systemic action, which means it can kill insects when they touch it and also when they eat treated plant parts. It's commonly used on vegetables, fruits, and field crops to control a wide variety of sucking insect pests. Spirotetramat is particularly effective against aphids, whiteflies, and scales. However, it's very important to know that spirotetramat can be harmful to beneficial insects like bees and other pollinators, so you should avoid spraying it when bees are actively visiting your crops. Also, spirotetramat can be harmful to fish and other aquatic life, so you must be very careful not to let it run off into streams, ponds, or irrigation water. You should spray it when insects are actively present and causing damage to your crops. Always wait the required number of days (usually 7-14 days) after spraying before harvesting your crops. Always follow the label instructions and wear protective clothing when using this product.
